“About” is the story of a boy who would later be given up for adoption. A story that starts from nothing without even a home, and after overcoming many obstacles finally finds one.

When I was born, I was that child. I was born without a home, and the first house I found when I opened my eyes was an empty house, without love or attention. However, the fears that pursued me along the way made me come across a very kind person on the way, who had a pond with colorful fish. Nevertheless, I kept seeing in those fish my own fears, and the fear of falling to the bottom and feeling that empty house from which I fled at first, made me keep moving forward. The next stop on this journey, when this very kind person could no longer take care of me, was a foster home where I met many other boys and girls in my situation. I had my first family (even if it was temporary) and I couldn’t be more grateful! But that didn’t last long, as something much better awaited me: a real family. Upon leaving the foster home, and after knowing that I would have a shoulder to lean on, a brother and a travel companion for the rest of my life, I climbed the stairs of the plane with him, which would take us to meet the family who would later give us a future.

This is my story, but there are many boys and girls who would also like to tell theirs! Give them a voice and make it possible!

"About" es la historia de un chico que posteriormente sería dado en adopción. Una historia que empieza de la nada sin ni siquiera un hogar, y tras superar muchos obstáculos halla por fin uno.

Cuando yo nací era ese niño. Nací sin un hogar, y la primera casa que me encontré al abrir los ojos era una casa vacía, sin amor ni atención. De todos modos, los miedos que me persiguieron a lo largo del camino me hicieron toparme con una persona muy amable en el camino, la cual tenía un estanque con peces de colores. No obstante, seguía viendo en esos peces mis propios miedos, y el miedo a caer a lo más hondo y a volver a sentir esa casa vacía de la que huí en un principio, me hizo seguir avanzando.
La siguiente parada de este viaje, cuando esta persona tan amable no pudo hacerse cargo de mí, fue una casa de acogida donde conocí a muchos otros niños y niñas en mi situación. Tuve mi primera familia (aunque fuese temporal) y no podía estar más agradecido! Pero aquello no duró mucho, ya que me esperaba algo mucho mejor: una familia de verdad.
Al salir de la casa de acogida, y tras haber sabido que tendría un hombro sobre el que apoyarme, un hermano y un compañero de viaje durante el resto de mi vida, subí con él las escaleras del avión, las cuales nos llevarían a conocer a la familia que posteriormente nos darían un futuro.

Esta es mi historia, pero hay muchos niños y niñas que también querrían contar la suya! Dales un altavoz y hazlo posible!
